KPI becomes Ukraine’s third best university in latest global rankings

Released on June 27, the QS World University Rankings 2024, the 20th edition of the rankings, is the largest ever, featuring 1,500 institutions across 104 locations, up from 1,418 last year. It is the only ranking of its kind to emphasize employability and sustainability.

Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute (KPI) improves to the 731-740 band, making progress in Academic Reputation, Employer Reputation, Faculty per Student and Employment Outcomes. This positive trajectory reflects KPI’s commitment to enhancing its academic standing and promoting successful graduate outcomes.

QS ranks 11 Ukrainian universities in 2023. KPI climbs one position into 3rd in Ukraine. This achievement highlights KPI’s ongoing efforts to elevate its status and prominence within the national higher education landscape.

This year QS has implemented its largest-ever methodological enhancement, introducing three new metrics: Sustainability assesses the commitment of universities to sustainable practices, Employment Outcomes evaluates the employability of students, while International Research Network analyzes international research collaboration and knowledge transfer.

The results draw on the analysis of 17.5 million academic papers and the expert opinions of over 240,000 academic faculty and employers.
