On May 26, Prof. Teofil Jesionowski was elected as Rector of the Poznan University of Technology for the term of 2020-2024.

Dear Tomasz,

On behalf of the Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute allow us to express our sincere thanks for your outstanding work as the Rector of the Poznan University of Technology in 2016-2020 and a remarkable personal contribution to the development of many-sided cooperation between our universities in these years.

Thanks to your personal support, many important agreements between Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute and Poznan University of Technology were carried out. These agreements are the following:
1) On the CubeSat- PolyITAN-3-PUT Project
2) On cooperation among the Igor Sikorsky KPI, and the company Progresstech-Ukraine, Ukraine, and the Poznan University of Technology, and the company Tucana Engineering Warsaw, the Republic of Poland
3) On Inter-Institutional Learning Agreement on Double Master’s Degree Program
4) On List Intencyjny Dotyczący Współpracy Pomiędzy of Credit Suisse (Polska) and Politechniką Poznańską і Narodowym Uniwersytetem Technicznym Ukrainy “Kijowski Instytut Politechniczny imię Igora Sikorskiego”
5) On Erasmus+ Programme Key Action 1 – Mobility for Learners and Staff – Higher Education Student and Staff Mobility Inter-Institutional Agreement 2017-2020 between Institutions from Partner Countries
6) and others

Joint seminars on the latest trends of science were held, cooperation in space-related issues has been developed, the first five master’s degree students of the Institute of Mechanical Engineering at Igor Sikorsky KPI received diplomas from our universities under the joint Double Master’s Degree Program in Mechanical Engineering, the students’ artistic amateur groups of our universities performed in the concert halls at Poznan University of Technology and Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute.

Together with you, we worked not only on the expansion of cooperation between our universities, but also at holding the Conference of Rectors of Technical Universities of the Republic of Poland and the Association of Rectos of Higher Technical Educational Establishments of Ukraine.

We worked closely with you at organizing the Forum of Rectors of Higher Technical Educational Establishments of Ukraine and Poland in April 2017 and in September 2019, whose recommendations became important guidelines for the development of higher technical education systems in Ukraine and Poland.

We hope that our joint activities will continue to further the extension of scientific and cultural relations between our universities and our countries.
