KPI improves performance in five of QS’s six indicators

Released on June 8, the QS World University Rankings 2023, the 19th edition of the rankings, is the largest ever, with 1,418 institutions across 100 locations, up from 1,300 last year.

Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute (KPI) maintains its rank in the 701-750 band for the fourth consecutive year but shows improvement in Academic Reputation, Employer Reputation, Citations per Faculty, Faculty per Student and International Faculty.

This year QS has also added two new unweighted performance lenses: Employment Outcomes assesses the employability of students, while the International Research Network analyzes international research collaboration and knowledge transfer.

In total, 11 Ukrainian universities are represented in the rankings, three more than last year.

It is important to note that Russia’s heinous military aggression against Ukraine is a direct assault on liberty and democracy, which are the fundamental values undergirding academic freedom, international research collaboration and knowledge transfer.
