Perspektywy Women in Tech Summit took place at the Warsaw-based Expocenter EXPO XXI on June 7 and 8. The main purpose of the event was to highlight the important role of women in the exact sciences and professions related to technologies. In recent years the number of women in the tech sector has been on the steady increase.

The Summit was attended by about 10,000 participants from different countries, including Poland, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and Ukraine. Famous people from all over the world were present at the grand opening. Warsaw Mayor Rafal Tschaskowski opened this year’s Warsaw Summit with his speech.

During the event, participants had the opportunity to meet representatives of the most successful companies such as Accenture, Amazon, Cisco, Corning, Electrolux, Google, HSBC, Infor, Intel, Orange and Bloomberg, among others. Representatives of each company willingly answered the questions of Summit participants as well as encouraged them to participate in exciting competitions and quizzes.

In addition, the Summit participants got a chance to attend various workshops, listen to interesting speeches, try their hand at graphic design ‘just for fun’ and watch movies in a virtual reality headset. And a wide variety of vegetarian choices was the feature of the event.

One of the most empowering moments of the Summit was networking with other participants. Perspektywy Women in Tech Summit is the event where you can not only learn more about companies and explore career opportunities, but also make good friends.
