Currently, Ukraine’s Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute (KPI) is making arrangements for the Sikorsky Challenge Innovation Festival in Chongqing, China. Chinese partners have expressed a keen interest in organizing this event when signing an agreement to finance the institute for applied technologies Kyivska Politekhnika. It is a private joint venture formed for the first time in KPI’s history.
The parties agreed on joint scientific activities in the fields of materials science, welding, IT, artificial intelligence, aerospace and biomedical technologies.
In addition, plans are in hand to establish the R&D center at KPI, which is geared to the Chinese market. KPI boffins and students will start activities in science, and research work at the new enterprise already this year.
