The ENHANCE Alliance is pleased to welcome two new associated partners, namely, the Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute (KPI) and the Lviv Polytechnic National University. Both institutions will join the highly interdisciplinary network of partners from academia, industry, policy-making and society.
Based on European values, ENHANCE aims for a sustainable transformation of our societies through teaching and research. It is therefore of great importance to the Alliance to support those European universities whose operations are threatened by the Russia-Ukraine war. We want to form a partnership which will build bridges despite the current difficult situation, as well as to create opportunities in research and teaching in the years to come.
Professor Zaremba, Rector of the Warsaw University of Technology (ENHANCE member university) said: “We have had very fruitful collaborations in the past and we wish to strengthen our bond with both universities in these difficult times”.
Greater collaborative efforts will enable students and staff of both universities to take better advantage of mobility opportunities at the seven member universities of ENHANCE.
Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute was founded in 1898. Its academic staff supports around 36,000 students across 15 faculties. KPI was the first university in Ukraine that signed the visionary Magna Charta of the European Universities in 2003.
