In the summer of 2020, Prof. Krzysztof Zaremba was elected as Rector of the Warsaw University of Technology for the term of 2020-2024.

Dear Jan,
Allow us to express our sincere thanks for your outstanding work as the Rector of the Warsaw University of Technology in 2012-2020 and a remarkable personal contribution to the development of many-sided cooperation between our universities in these years.
Thanks to your personal support, many important agreements between Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute and the Warsaw University of Technology, projects under double degree programs, student mobility, bilateral scientific-technical projects, among others, were carried out.
The first five master’s degree students of the Institute of Energy Saving and Energy Management at Igor Sikorsky KPI are successfully undergoing training under the double degree program, the students’ artistic amateur groups of our universities performed in the concert halls at the Warsaw University of Technology and the Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, our students’ football teams competed.
Joint seminars of scientists, which were devoted to the breakthrough scientific areas under European grant programs, were held.
Together with you, not only have we expanded collaboration of our universities, but also many-sided cooperation of the Conference of Rectors of Technical Universities of the Republic of Poland and the Association of Rectors of Higher Technical Educational Establishments of Ukraine.
Specifically, the Forums of Rectors of Higher Technical Educational Establishments of Ukraine and the Republic of Poland in Kyiv in April 2017 and in Bielsko-Biała in September 2019 were outstanding events, whose recommendations became important guidelines for the development of higher technical education systems in Ukraine and Poland.
We hope that our joint activities will continue to further the extension of scientific and cultural relations between our universities and our countries.
