The international workshop ‘Remote Labs with Focus on Ukraine’ took place at the Poland’s Wrocław University of Science and Technology on 23–24 June 2025.
Representatives from the Institute of Mechanical Engineering and the International Collaboration Department of the Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute attended the event.
The workshop was organised within the framework of the project Developing Remote Labs with Focus on Ukraine, funded by the T.I.M.E. Association (Top International Managers in Engineering).
The project is carried out by a consortium of three leading universities: Sweden’s KTH Royal Institute of Technology (project coordinator), Wrocław University of Science and Technology, and Kyiv Polytechnic.
Remote laboratories, as a key component of digital education, enable students and researchers to access and operate experimental equipment online regardless of physical location.
During the workshop, faculty members from European universities shared their expertise and underwent training in developing remote laboratories as an integral part of engineering education.
The Kyiv Polytechnic delegation contributed actively by organising a roundtable discussion on the prospects for further cooperation.
The significance of this event is hard to overstate, as its theme is particularly relevant in wartime, when ensuring access to quality education becomes both a formidable challenge and a vital necessity.
